Being a travel enthusiast, I noticed a lack of features across several travel apps. Cue, Roam – the ultimate platform for travelers to effortlessly compare and select the perfect package from a variety of travel agencies and groups.
UX Research
Roam is a revolutionary travel app designed to redefine the way travelers plan their journeys. In today's fast-paced world, people often find themselves overwhelmed with the abundance of travel packages offered by various agencies and groups. Roam was conceived to simplify this process, enabling users to effortlessly identify and select the ideal travel package that best suits their needs and desires.

Simplify the booking process, allowing users to book a package with as few clicks as possible. Implement progress indicators and clear instructions to guide users through the process - Information Overload
Solution: Implement filters and recommendation algorithms that help users narrow down their choices based on their interests, budget, and travel history, making the decision-making process more manageable. - Lack of Customization
Solution: Offer customization features, allowing users to tailor packages according to their preferences. This might include selecting specific activities or accommodations. - Limited transparency in package comparison
Solution: Implement a feature that allows travelers to easily compare travel packages, displaying key details like itinerary, price, inclusions, and user reviews in a standardized format.
User Research involves understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through methods like observations, task analyses, and feedback. I used two research methods: Qualitative (interviews with 10 travelers) to explore booking challenges, and Quantitative (a survey with 25 participants) for broader insights.
We synthesized the data obtained from user surveys to craft a representative user persona. This persona is shaped by the characteristics and key insights derived from the survey responses.
